Thirroul Surf Life Saving Club has been an integral part of the Thirroul community since 1907. Thirroul SLSC plays an important role in keeping our beach safe during the Summer months through our patrols on Thirroul Beach. Some of our members are also part of a “Call Out” team that is actively involved in critical rescue incidents throughout NSW.
We pride ourselves on the active promotion of physical and mental wellbeing through programs such as the Silver Salties for older members of the community and training programs for masters, youth and juniors, including the iconic Nippers. Thirroul also offers a high performing IRB racing team and a full education program to train our future life savers. Through these activities, Thirroul Surf Lifesaving Club helps build community capacity and promotes social inclusion and diversity.
The Thirroul SLSC is run by volunteers, supported by the local community, and is funded through its own fundraising efforts. We always need new members and volunteers to support us, so please join us down at Thirroul beach.
